Late last summer the Kadey family returned from vacation to find their 1,485 gallon pool completely drained. Raccoons were the suspected culprits, though the neighbors were not ruled out. After having heard the Kadey children scream at each other daily to "STOP SPLASHING ME!!", they would not be blamed for taking advantage of the family's absence to "accidentally" aim the BB gun in the general direction of said pool.
Regardless of the cause of the pool's demise, the Kadey's made a valiant attempt to resurrect it at the first sign of June sunshine. Only eight patch jobs later, the pool was able to be filled with water. Finally they could answer the question they had been waiting all year to find out: after three years of screaming in terror anytime someone suggested he go in the pool, would their youngest son, Kian, finally enter it's dread waters.
In a moment that will be forever ingrained in the annals of "Strange but True Kadey Family Stories," we are told that the child ran straight for the ladder, climbed up, and jumped right in. The moment was documented for us by his mother, Erin, who is quoted as saying, "It's about freaking time."
Unfortunately, the pool immediately sprung another leak....or two....or three. And enough rainwater has fallen to now create a wading pool on top of the pool cover. We suggest if any of the Kadey family friends would like to use the pool they make an appointment soon, as it is only a matter of days before it dies it's last death.
